My name is Marshall Mallory. I am very excited to be a part of the Rancho Mirage High School Experience. I was born and raised in Richmond, Virginia. I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Computers. I dabbled in many fields before finally deciding it was time to move away from my hometown. I enlisted in the Navy in 2003 and moved to San Diego. I served five years on board the U.S.S. Bonhomme Richard gaining the rank of Petty Officer 2nd Class. I traveled to many countries and enjoyed my experience, but in 2008 when my enlistment was up, I decided to change career paths. While staying in the Navy Reserves, where I have continued to serve for eleven more years, I went back to school to become a teacher. My dream was realized in 2011 when I graduated with a Master’s in Teaching and a credential in both Social Science and English. I taught my first year at Palm Desert High School teaching both CP and AP World History. I then moved to the California Military Institute in Perris. I taught there for two years teaching AP European History, CP World History, English 10, Advanced English 10, and ROTC. In 2018/2019 I was called back up for a year to active duty and traveled to Bahrain to serve our great country. In my spare time I enjoy collecting antiques, reading, movies, and participate in Civil War Reenactments throughout Southern California. I am looking forward to a great year with my new students. Let’s dive in and make 2020-2021 the best school year ever!
